Mainland Greece and the 1,000+ Greek Islands are one of the world’s must see sights. Each picture postcard island has their own character, so why not experience a few and go island hopping?! Famous for white washed buildings, cobbled streets and traditional tavernas.
If you want beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters and and stunning green landscapes the Ionian islands – Corfu, Zante, Kefalonia, Paxos and Lefkas are you’re best bet. For classic Greece, try the Cyclades Islands – for their white churches set against the blue ocean backdrop then it’s Santorini, Mykonos, Ios and Syros. Further North is the Sporades Islands – Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos, all made famous by the Mamma Mia movie. Further South are the Dodecanese Islands – Rhodes, Kos, Symi, Halki, Kalymnos and Crete, the largest Greek island. The Dodecansese islands are baked in sunshine, sandy beaches and also have the longest summers.
